We work with ISL Education Lending to offer private loans to help you pay for college as well as refinance existing student loans. ISL Education Lending is a nonprofit organization with decades of student loan experience offering lower-priced loans.*

  • A loan option for parents and family members who wish to borrow on behalf of a college student.
  • Multiple student loans refinance options.

In addition, they offer multiple scholarship opportunities and free college planning tools to help students and families avoid overborrowing and plan smart for life during and after college.

  • All loans offered by ISL Education Lending are subject to credit approval.
  • Before applying for a private loan, we encourage you to first complete the FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You should also work with your college financial aid office to explore and exhaust all sources of student financial aid before seeking a private student loan.

Scholarships 

To our student Credit Union members:

Part of the mission of Cincinnati Employees Credit Union reads:

“Not for Charity…Not for Profit...but for service.”                                

In keeping with this philosophy, we choose to serve our student members by offering you an opportunity to apply for a scholarship.  This program is one of the benefits of credit union membership, as the profits of this cooperative will return to our members in the form of higher dividends, lower loan rates and increased services.  The “increased service” now includes funding of eleven scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000.  We invite our student members headed to 2- or 4-year accredited colleges to apply as well as current full time college students.

Please complete the enclosed application.  Applications must be received by April 10, 2025 – no exceptions!  Winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting, which will be held on April 16, 2025.  If you have applied, or have a student in the drawing, please try to attend the annual meeting.  Details on the location will be forthcoming.
